Description:
To provide overall
leadership and management to the Abkhazia Program of World Vision
Georgia through strategic planning, funding acquisition, design,
implementation, management, local capacity building and monitoring of
all program activities and strategies in order to ensure its integration
and coordination with other projects and departments. Serve as a
primary representative of the organization with local and international
stakeholders in Abkhazia.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Manage and coordinate, the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of all WVI projects in Abkhazia, including staff development and financial resources management.
* Ensure coordination of the Abkhazia program with other WVG departments.
* Represent World Vision to government ministries, UN agencies, major donors, and other INGOs.
* Ensure that projects maintain adequate funding through proposal writing and liaise with major donors.
* Maintain and development knowledge-management system, ensuring evaluation findings are adequately documented and integrated into operations
* Prepare narrative reports for major donors, and other stakeholders as required.
* Ensure the safety and security of staff and visitors, in accordance with the WV security manual and Abkhazia program security plan
* Organize and facilitate field visits for external management staff and donor representatives.

Qualifications:
* A university
degree in social sciences, economics, development or related field is
required. A master degree in a related field is preferred.
* At least 5 years of professional experience in project/program management, preferable in the field of micro-economic development.
* Requires good cross-cultural understanding and communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
* Must be able to communicate ideas within and outside of World Vision, with local government authorities, with major donors, other NGOs and UN agencies.
* Willing to travel extensively within Abkhazia and to/from Tbilisi.
* Familiarity with European Union grant regulations, Russian language skills strongly preferred.
* Requires good computer and writing skills. Fluency in English, spoken and written.
* Requires good cross-cultural understanding and communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
