Description:
Our Washington, DC, office currently seeks an Intern to assist with
developing activities pertaining to Russia and the North
Caucasus.
Majority of work will deal with the Russian North Caucasus region
and human rights issues. The intern will be responsible for researching
and keeping abreast of current news and events in Russia and the North
Caucasus and updating the American Committee for Peace in the Caucasus
website (www.peaceinthecaucasus.org)
accordingly. In addition, the intern will provide support to the
project staff by assisting with program development, research, and daily
administrative duties as assigned. Occasionally, work related to
Eastern and Central Europe will be required as well.Qualifications:
- Interest in and knowledge of political developments in Russia and the North Caucasus, and human rights issues in particular.
- Advanced level of proficiency in written Russian.
- Native speaking proficiency in English.
- Ability to research and use good judgment in information dissemination.
- Readiness to learn and work with Dreamweaver software a plus.
- College degree or graduate student with research experience.
