Compensation: $89,033 - $136,771 annually, plus federal benefits

Description:
- Serves as a policy advsior and technical expert in the Office of Fissile Materials Disposition (OFMD) and must be knowledgable regarding a wide range of factors affecting the disposition of stockpiles of surplus highly enriched uranium and weapons-grade plutonium.
- Oversees development and coordination of all reports, correspondence, and other policy documents related to fissile materials disposition.
- Analyzes, develops, drafts written and oral presentations and recommendations with regard to the role that the Mixed Oxide (MOX) Fuel Fabrication Facility, Pit Disassembly and Conversion Facility, Waste Soldification building the Highly Enriched Uranium (HEU) Down Blending program, and Russian Plutonium Dispostion Program play in NNSA's efforts to detect, secure and dispose of dangerous nuclear materials.
-Facilitates the review, coordination and approval of time-senitive OFMD programmatic and technical documents throughout the National Nuclear security Administration and the Department of Energy.

Qualifications:
Degree: major or equivalent, or a combination of courses totaling at least 24 semester hours, in international law and international relations, political science, economics, history, sociology, geography, social or cultural anthropology, law, statistics, or in the humanities; or 12 semester hours in one of the above disciplines and 12 semester hours in statistics/quantitative methods.

OR

Combination of education and experience -- courses equivalent to a major, or a combination of related courses totaling at least 24 semester hours, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.

OR

Experience -- four years of appropriate experience in one or more of the fields listed above in work associated with international organizations, problems, or other aspects of foreign affairs.
