Description:
Serves as a first-level supervisor and senior counterintelligence advisor on matters related to day-to-day operations or management of intelligence programs pertaining to counterintelligence investigative, operational, collection, analysis and production activities supporting the DIA and DoD CI. The incumbent exercises technical and administrative supervision over a staff of intelligence specialists engaged in the collection and evaluation of intelligence information and production of comprehensive studies, reports, articles, and briefings about a specified function and/or major geographic area. Identifies and obtains resources (i.e., staff, funds, space and equipment) to accomplish project goals. Comprehends and implements the Agency's strategic vision and institutes effective counterintelligence programs that lead to efficient organizational operations.


Incumbents will serve as Supervisors, Intelligence Officer (Counterintelligence), Russia Section (DXC-1B1) or Eurasia Regional Issue Section (DXC-1B2), Eurasia Branch (DXC-1B), Analysis and Strategy Division (DXC-1), Office of Counterintelligence (DXC), Defense Counterintelligence and HUMINT Center (DX).
- Exercises technical and administrative supervision over a staff of counterintelligence specialists responsible for the operation and management of counterintelligence programs. Establishes goals, objectives and priorities, and develops plans and projects to accomplish these through effective and efficient business practices.
- Determines and allocates the level and mixture of resources needed for the area of responsibility. Redirects resources as program emphases change.
- Oversees development of policy and guidance for planning and implementing program requirements and ensures proper alignment with the Agency's strategic plan. Approves complex analytical approaches to problems and situations for which data is incomplete, controversial or no precedent exists. Recommends implementing new technologies, procedures and applications.
-Responsible for the technical quality and accuracy of the organization's products. Revises or determines standards to evaluate sources' technical, quantitative, and qualitative validity and analyzes technical considerations affecting their use to fulfill established requirements.
- Maintains liaison with personnel throughout the Intelligence Community and DoD. Represents the Agency's position on national, interagency and departmental counterintelligence committees and working groups.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:
You must possess 1 year of specialized experience at the level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the next lower qualifying band or equivalent GS/GG level, which is directly related to the position being filled. Your experience must demonstrate possession of the necessary knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position.
