Description:
Eurasia Group is seeking an experienced and motivated research analyst of Central Asia and Caucasus politics to be based in any of the firm's offices. In this position, you will assess political risks flowing from political and economic developments in region that are of relevance to Eurasia Group's financial, corporate, and government clients. You will have the ability to analyze important macro-political policy drivers and economic trends. You will also have the ability to analyze sectoral regulatory issues, and have a strong knowledge of regional energy issues.

You will undertake research and writing for a range of products and projects. You will perform in-depth research and will write both short analyses and longer papers. You will have excellent research capabilities and be capable of producing multiple pieces of research and analysis under tight deadlines. You must have excellent and succinct writing skills at native English level. You must be able to manage competing demands on time. 

Qualifications:
You will have a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant professional experience, one year of field experience in the region and an advanced degree in political science or other relevant discipline (international relations, economics). You must understand the relevance of your research to a broad range of investors and companies. Previous research or consulting experience is preferred. The ability to conduct research in Russian will be a significant advantage for candidates. Applications from more experienced candidates are welcome. You will also understand the management and coordination of complex research projects. You will ensure the timely delivery of high-quality research products and coordinate the activities of analysts and associates with regard to both research and business development. You understand deadlines and you write in a succinct style at native English standard.
