Description:
The IFES Europe & Asia division is currently accepting resumes for a part-time Intern (24 hours per week) position to work under the supervision of the Program Manager for Central Asia and the Caucasus, assisting program staff in administrative and project support. This is a paid position.
Job Responsibilities:
The general duties of an intern include:
• Providing overall logistical and administrative support to projects as assigned
• Conducting research in support of current and forthcoming projects
• Assisting in maintaining project records and documents
• Attending and reporting on internal and external meetings and other discussions about assigned project
• Assisting in the preparation of reports, website updates, and promotional materials (e.g. success stories)
• Tracking project success (monitoring and evaluation) and agreement compliance
• Assisting with program development in conjunction with the needs of the project
• Project financial monitoring and tracking
• Other duties as assigned
 

Qualifications:
• Academic background in international relations/development and strong familiarity with countries of the former Soviet Union
• Excellent writing, research and communication skills
• Prior regional research/work experience
• Russian or regional language skills a plus
• Proficiency with Word and Excel
