Description:
Under the supervision of the President, the Executive Assistant to the President supports the President and Board of Trustees. The Executive Assistant manages all board activities, meetings, and correspondence and related governance issues, and supports the DC management team. The Executive Assistant also facilitates communication and information exchange within the EF Network and coordinates Eurasia Foundation Network steering committee meetings and other network activities.

Duties
  • Oversee the scheduling of appointments for President and flow and of written material going to the President.
  • Coordinate logistics and prepares details for President’s travel and outside meetings.
  • Carry out occasional research duties for the President.
  • Coordinate all the Board of Trustees and Executive Committee meetings; prepare and distribute materials related to the Board. Maintain board materials on Intranet and coordinate access to Intranet for new board members.
  • During Board sessions takes minutes, prepares initial minutes draft on a timely basis and serves as staff liaison to officials attending.
  • Responsible for Executive office and board budget preparation and oversight.
  • Coordinate orientation of new EF board members.
  • Manage the EF Network Steering Committee, coordinate DC portion of Network-wide meetings and other activities. Generate Skype calls, maintain meeting materials on Intranet, and prepare initial draft minutes on a timely basis.
  • Maintain list of subscriptions and memberships, including on-line accounts for general usage.
  • Coordinate meetings for EF, EPF and EFCA nominating committees and prepare initial draft minutes on a timely basis.
  • Take minutes for EF finance committee and prepare initial draft minutes on a timely basis.
  • All other duties as assigned by the President.

Qualifications:
  • Educational attainment should be to the level associated with the achievement of a master's degree. A combination of a bachelor’s degree and appropriate work experience acceptable.
  • Experience: At least ten years professional experience with varied responsibilities, preferably in the nonprofit sector, is required.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is required. Strong interpersonal and communications skills are required. Knowledge of NIS and fluency in an NIS language are desirable, as is living experience abroad. Strong computers skills in word-processing, spreadsheet, database, and desktop publishing applications are required.
