Description: 
Position is hourly, nonexempt, 15 hours per week. Candidate is responsible for program's direct contact with adolescent and teenage youths and their parents/guardians, case managers, schools, and other support services. Student Support Specialist will outreach into Portland's Eastern European community to enroll students (12-18 years) in program for mentoring services. 


Qualifications:
Specialist must have excellent writing, reading, and speaking skills in English; also must be verbally fluent in Russian. Must be computer literate and able to use Microsoft Word. Must be able to work occasional evenings and weekends. Able to work as a team providing mentee and mentor support services.

Must have attended and completed U.S. high school. Ideal candidate currently holds Associate degree/diploma from a U.S. institution or working toward such a degree (minimum) at a U.S. institution. Candidate is culturally competent to work with target population and in multicultural environment. Has valid U.S. driver license and insurance.
