Description:
The Protection Programme Manager (PPM) for Georgia is a combined managerial and advisory position in support of The Danish Refugee Council's (DRC) protection and advocacy work on resettlement and integration issues at ca local and national level.

The position has two main objectives:
• Management of resettlement/ local integration projects:Ensure proper and timely implementation of DRC Programmes, providing assistance to national resettlement and reintegration projects. This includes a strong operational and administrative background in project management (including reporting and budget management) but also strategic and far-seeing skills to position project interventions and DRC accordingly.


• Strengthening of DRC capacity and profile as a right based, protection agency:Provide technical support in linking DRC Programs to relevant international and national rights and standards, ensure consistency in approach and strategy, support the consolidation and further development of DRC’s regional protection profile and coordinate DRC’s engagement in inter-agency efforts.

Qualifications:
• University degree, preferably in Human Rights, International Law or related field.
• 5 years practical work experience within the field of rights based approach.
• 5 years of proven capacity to implement complex projects in a challenging environment including all tasks within a full project cycle.
• Excellent analytical and strategic thinking.
• Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to establish effective and working relations with local staff and other stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills, personable, calm and good sense of humour.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
