Description:
The Monitoring and Evaluation Manager supports HealthRight International’s Ukraine team. This position has substantial potential for growth. The Manager’s key responsibilities will be to develop monitoring and evaluation, outreach and communication processes, and to develop the capacity of HealthRight’s projects in Ukraine. The Monitoring and Evaluation Manger will work closely with the Country Director and other members of the Ukraine team. The successful candidate must be very familiar with Ukraine’s HIV/AIDS epidemic, marginalized populations, and issues affecting women, and will be expected to communicate with partner organizations regarding the monitoring and evaluation of HealthRight’s projects. The Monitoring and Evaluation Manger will also work with HealthRight’s local partners to build their monitoring, evaluation and communications capacity and to collect anecdotal examples of program impact and ensure that these are incorporated into reports.

RESPONSIBILITIES and DUTIES:

  • Work closely with the Country Director and HealthRight team to lead the assessment of project activities.
  • Create monitoring and evaluation structure and plan, and ensure that the plan is well designed adequately implemented and that results are distributed appropriately.
  • Assist with reporting, including preparing analyses, and identifying illustrative examples of program impact during monitoring visits.
  • Manage the routine and systematic collection of data from partners in accordance with agreements. 
  • Ensure timely responses to specific internal and external requests for monitoring and evaluation results.
  • Maintain strong communication with partners to identify exemplary program successes, and work with partners to capture those examples in success stories, with an emphasis on collecting individual stories of impact and success.
  • Learn, capture and disseminate information about changes, new standards and developments in HealthRight’s work to partners.
  • Contribute to the HealthRight management team’s representational efforts by assisting with donor briefings and field visits.
  • Liaise with HealthRight headquarters to ensure strong communication and coordination across the organization.
  • Other tasks as assigned by the Country Director.

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience working in international organizations in the area of HIV, marginalized populations, and women’s issues 
  • Experience in project level monitoring and evaluation data gathering and analysis
  • Excellent communication skills: speaking, writing and listening
  • Report writing experience and excellent writing skills
  • Proven ability to prioritize and handle multiple, on-going assignments
  • Creativity, innovation and teamwork skills
  • Fluency in Ukrainian, Russian and English
